THE GRAPHIC CLASSROOM IN TEACHER LIBRARIAN

The Graphic Classroom received a mention in the June 2009 edition of Teacher Librarian: The Journal for School Library Professionals. It states on page 71, paragraph 3:

Web 2.0: The growing popularity of blogs such as The Graphic Classroom, http://graphicclassroom.blogspot.com/, has
provided a way for people to easily share reviews and favorite web sites about age appropriate materials for young people.

Thanks to Jennifer from Capstone Press and Stone Arch Press for pointing it out to me. Notice that publisher was also mentioned. We have been a fan of both imprints for a long time.

As a long-time fan of your blog, I was happy to see that you found our article praising your website. My husband and I write the InfoTech column in Teacher Librarian. In the article Graphic Novels, Digital Comics, and Technology-Enhanced Learning: Part 1 (Teacher Librarian, June 2009, p. 71) we highlighted your blog as we discussed ways to integrate graphic novels and digital comics into the k-12 classroom.

Keep up the great work!

PS We also have a free, online workshop for teachers and librarians interested in learning more about sequential art, graphic novels, comics and technology-enhanced learning at http://eduscapes.com/sessions/comics/

Annette,

Thanks for the story and the comments. I think some of our readers would be interested in the webinar.
